Cookie policy

What we set, why, and how to refuse the parts that are not strictly necessary.

Last updated 1 September 2026 · v2.4

Categories in use

  • Strictly necessary: authentication, session integrity, security and abuse prevention, and remembering your consent choice. These cannot be disabled without breaking access.
  • Preference: interface settings such as saved filters and display density.
  • Analytics: aggregate measurement of which material is used and where performance fails. Configured without cross-site tracking identifiers.

We set no advertising cookies, because we carry no advertising.

Your control

Non-necessary categories are off until you opt in, where applicable law requires it. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer, and browser-level controls remain available to you independently.

A note for sensitive readers

If you are researching a subject in circumstances where your interest could put you at risk, decline non-necessary cookies, browse without an account, and consider accessing the archive over Tor or a trusted VPN. Cookie settings are not a substitute for network-level precautions.
